VR Golfbag is your source for unbiased info on golf club attachments for Meta Quest headsets, an Unofficial Guide to the game, info about the official GOLF+ Discord, community-run tournament servers, and more...

ATTENTION: Q3 USERS

Quest 3 uses a different tracking system than previous headsets. This means that many current attachments may not work/track well with the Quest 3.  Click HERE to go to the Q3 compatible attachments page.

Attachments below all work with the Quest 2. Most Yezro attachments work for Q2, Q3 and QPro.

All info on these pages is provided as a courtesy to the VR golf community. Please ensure you have appropriate space to play, that your controller is secured to the attachment and that the attachment you purchased is compatible with your controllers. This is an information only site. I am not affiliated with any attachment maker and this site contains no affiliate links. Please contact the seller of your attachment for support.

Golf Club Attachments

Using a golf club attachment can add a whole other level of immersion and increase the enjoyment of the game. There are many different types of attachments out there and this page will guide you through some of the popular available options. Not all currently available attachments are profiled here as some attachments come and go.

If you own a 3D printer, or have a shop locally that will 3D print objects for you, there's a section below of links to freely available 3D printer files that you can download. You may need extra parts for these but if you're a DIYer, these may work well for you.

As with all golf club attachments: use them at your own risk; make sure they are secure; use the wrist strap;  and follow the assembly instructions from the seller or the Thing maker.

Do I need an attachment to play VR golf games?

An attachment is not required for any VR golf game.

What is a preset?

A preset is a piece of code that the developers have built into the game that contains default club lengths and other settings specific to your particular attachment.

Is an in-game preset required for an attachment to work?

Generally, no. Attachments that point the controller straight down should work just fine with any golf game since you can manually set the club length to what works for you and no further adjustments are needed. Attachments with offsets that users are unable to modify in the settings will need to be accommodated via an in-game preset. Until a preset is available, you can use the Custom setting in Golf+ to move your virtual controller onto the golf club in whatever configuration you need for the attachment that you are using.

What's an offset? Why do some attachments need a preset, and others do not?

Every golf game gives users the ability to adjust club lengths. Some games have manual adjustment options, and other games simply stop the club head at the ground. Because of this, as mentioned above, any attachment that holds the controller straight down with the halo at the bottom usually only needs a length adjustment that fits the user and no further settings, so a preset is not needed.

How Do I Decide on an Attachment?

People are different. What works for one person may not work for another. Someone else's favorite may not be yours. Here are some things to consider when deciding on an attachment:

Below are links to some of the popular golf grips for the Oculus Quest. Links to their product pages are included.

I am not a seller of any golf attachment and do not endorse one attachment over another. Since I have used most of them, my opinions may creep into the descriptions. These are my personal feelings and user needs differ. Other info is based on my own research and from comments and discussions in various VR golf Discords, Reddit, and other social media outlets.

All links on this page directly go to the seller's page are not affiliate links. I do not benefit financially when you purchase anything using links on this page. This site is a labor of love and designed to be helpful to the VR golf community.

Weights of the controller and attachment may vary depending on shaft weight differences, battery weight, etc.  Some attachment makers include the weight with and without the controller on their product page. If you have questions about that, please contact the maker of the attachment.

Free downloads that you can 3D print

The files below are all for the Quest 2 only. If you do not have access to a 3D printer, you may be able to find a shop locally or online that will 3D print a project for you. All you need to do is provide them with the files. Old, used golf clubs can be found on sites like eBay for cheap, so if you are a DIY type, you can make your own.

There may be additional or updated designs, or Q3 attachments available. Please search Thingiverse for the most up to date accessories.

Golf Club Mount

This is a plastic hook assembly that you can attach to an old, cut down golf shaft.

Check the Thing Details for printing instructions. You may have to mirror the object before printing if you use the opposite controller.

Putter Adapter

This adapter was designed for Walkabout Mini Golf. I don't have the space so I would not use it for full swing golf games. I'm not sure that it's secure enough for full swing use. You can attach this to a real putter to add more immersion to mini golf.

What is Discord?

Discord is an online community made up of individual servers that are dedicated to one particular app, game, hobby, etc. Most VR game developers put up a Discord so they can interact with their community of users, ask for feedback, offer beta testing opportunities, announce upcoming changes and updates, etc. Members can get help, ask questions, chat and set up multiplayer games there as well.

Important note: You only need one Discord account. Once you create an account and sign in, you can click and accept any Discord invite, it will add the server to your account and you can freely switch among them using the list on the left. It may look busy at first, but there are plenty of users who can help you find your way around.

In addition to developer-created Discords, there are also player-created servers that host  leagues and tournaments, enable users to find pick up games,  chat about the game, get help, and more. Here are a few popular Golf+ related Discords that have weekly and season-long leagues and tournaments.  Click the image to be taken to the Discord.
